Interview With Dj E-Ternal

As a kid my dad was dj on the radio which was my first biggest influencer of music . By the time I was 10 I had seen over 20 concerts. But growing up I always used music as a way to get passed stressful times or to remember my homework. I would make all my answers into a song them repeat back for tests.

For the last 2 years I’ve pushed my music through my social media platforms and got them on you tube, Spotify, iTunes, ect. but now with Silver Creek Records I feel that my journey has just begun because they can get me known worldwide and grow my audience to a point that I couldn’t reach myself. My message for future fans would be to listen to all my music because it’s extremely diverse. I do EDM/house type music but in a different class. It’s like a mix of everything electronic wise. But then I recently indulged into the hip hop/horror rap which shows a completly different side of what I have to offer. You have a sensitive side in “Dreams do come true” but then a extreme dark side in “Did you miss me” . So like I said very diverse . I do not believe there is any other artist out there that does the same thing that I do which separates me from anyone else..

Honestly I haven’t listened to anyone in particular lately but if there is anyone I would say Anyma. His music is amazing and the way he has come into the music industry and taken over so fast is amazing but has also altered the way EDM is made with his new styles, complete game changer. My own inspiration for my music really comes straight from heart. I just start writing how I feel or what im thinking or if its my electronic music I don’t start with any particular thought . I just start messing with different sounds tweaking the mod controls until I hear something that sounds cool and different and start to add on from there. It works for me because there’s no expectation I’m reaching for so I don’t ever stress on the ending.

How’s that sound I just thought of the basic scenario of having fun on a weekend night going to the club dancing meeting someone that you connect with and enjoying the night together and future time. It’s a great upbeat song that has all the making of a club banger. It’s definitely a song to dance to. Did you miss me is like a follow up of songs from the album “2 sides of E-TERNAL” that if asked who I was and where I come from it answers those questions and some. It then gets a little bit darker like a prequel of how I get started with murder. (Like I said dark) Which is where the horror rap comes in.

universal.

so unfortunately for myself I write the lyrics pretty fast but then put it to a beat instead of the other way around. It’s definitely a lot harder to do it this way. Im always changing the beat or tempo or sound that originally has in mind so it takes 4 times more time than it should to get everything to match up just perfectly.

I think the message is how someone feels when they listen to it. Doesn’t matter if it’s a slow song, hip hop, or horror rap, or EDM you can relate to any of them. Even the horror rap because there’s an ex, old boss, or anyone that youve thought about doing something bad to but obviously didn’t act in it and that’s what I have the fan imagine at that time. My goals as an artist first off is to make my label proud and confident that they signed me. Silver Creek Records has given me an opportunity to shine now it’s all up to me. I want to know that my music in some way has touched my fans. I feel that music is the only thing in the world that has a story for every occasion. We all have that one song for good times, bad, emotional, celebratory, whatever you can think of, there is that go to song. If any of mine can be that song for my fans as a connection, then I’ve made it as an artist.

The one artist that I’ve been listening to for years that actually made me want to do EDM and is extremely talented, Paul Oakenfold.

Be extremely patient. Don’t become discouraged if nothing happens right away. It’s takes a few years behind the scenes to even be looked at. If you put it the work and the time and stick with you can be the next best thing, but you’ll never know if you don’t stick with it. Also don’t change for anyone stick to your style, don’t let anyone try to change you for they’re purposes that’s when you’ll fail.

Don’t brush off what older people are telling you, no you don’t everything, not even a little bit. Close your mouth and take in every piece of advise that is being given, trust me 30 seconds of wisdom can be a lifetime game changer.
